About me
My name is Aristotelis Papakonstantinou. I am a Cinematographer, born in Larissa in 1986 and currently based in Athens, Greece. I studied Fine Arts at the Department of Fine Arts and Sciences of Art in Ioannina, where I first discovered that the art of film making is the best way for me to express myself.
Right after college, I started filming independent projects and working hard to develop my skills. In 2014, one of my projects, the music video for “Black Swamp Village” by “The Speakeasie’s Swing Band”, which I co-directed and filmed, won an award in the Music Video category at the International Songwriting Competition (ISC).
Since then, with hard work and research, I have developed my skills and quickly collaborated with many major companies and creators in Greece. I have worked and filmed projects in more than 10 countries around the world. I am the main Producer, Director and Cinematographer at Ahos audiovisual productions , the co-founder of the BallenaDePapel creative team and the main Video Content Creator for one fast-growing YouTube music channel in Greece.
Cinematography
I am really passionate about cinematography and everyone that knows me will tell you that I always have my camera at hand, even when I am not working.
Organic and cinematic movement has a special place in my heart and I love experimenting with light; artificial or natural, depending on the project.
I never stop learning and experimenting and I am a true believer that with collaboration you can overcome any problem. During my career, I have participated as a Director, Cinematographer, Camera operator, Editor or Producer in a great number and variety of productions such as documentaries, short films, corporate films, music videos, theater and dance promotional videos and online video content, so I have acquired a deep knowledge and understanding of all the aspects of video production.
In addition, through the years, I have acquired and developed my personal collection of professional equipment including cameras, lenses, Lights, stabilisers and sliders.
